The Department of Revenue, Bureau of Pennsylvania State Lottery, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Revenue Research Analyst 2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Revenue Research Analyst 2, you will analyze stolen and proof of loss ticket adjustment requests, research ticket information, calculate credits or debits, and manually adjust retailer accounts. Work includes preparing reports and conducting formal presentations to the Revenue Research Analyst 3, the Revenue Research Analyst Manager, and executive staff on research findings and recommendations. You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of new policies and procedures for the Pennsylvania Lottery.
Additional duties to include:
- Providing technical assistance to Lottery field staff on matters relating to online ticket adjustment requests, accounting issues, outstanding claims, and Scratch Off ticket pack issues as needed.
- Reviewing reports with reference to old games in the system to determine ticket status and who has possession of the tickets.
- Handling all requests for promotional tickets, tracking value of tickets and pack numbers, creating shipping bills of lading as needed for radio stations and placing tickets into a promotional status as needed.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Revenue Research Analyst 1; or
- One year of managerial experience in a major tax system which involved the receipt or the examination of tax returns or the enforcement of tax rules and regulations; or
- Two years of experience in systems analysis and/or operations research which included one year in the analysis of tax systems and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in courses involving the use of quantification techniques applicable to systems analysis and operations research such as statistics, systems analysis, mathematical model building, algebra, calculus, operations research, quantitative research design, economic analysis, computer science, or any other quantifiable course work. Appropriate graduate study may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualification (not required):
- Customer service experience.

- This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
