Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $77.011 - $99.369 - $121.726
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will depend on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.

To provide the professional, clinical and technical knowledge, skills and expertise required for the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care that supports the mission, values and philosophy of Pharmacy Services and Sharp HealthCare.
Required Qualifications
- Education pursuant to licensure requirement.
- California Pharmacist License - CA State Board of Pharmacy - REQUIRED
- ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association - REQUIRED
Preferred Qualifications
- Women's Health and/or NICU experience
- 1 Year experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
- 1 Year completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
Other Qualification Requirements
- AHA BLS and ACLS are required within 90 days of hire.
Essential Functions
- Verification and review of medication orders, including compliance with inpatient drug formulary, counseling patients on medication use, and assessing patient understanding of medication regimen.
- Medication Therapy Monitoring, ensuring drug regimen consistency with guidelines, adjusting regimens based on protocols, and reviewing patient profiles.
- Clinical Intervention Program participation, addressing therapeutic issues, and documenting interventions.
- Pharmacy Operations, ensuring accurate preparation and dispensing of medications, maintaining records, and managing pharmacy operations.
- Safe Medication Practice, participating in medication safety monitoring, inspections, and compliance with standards.
- Communication and teamwork, fostering positive relationships with customers and effectively managing interdepartmental relations.
- Training and mentoring, engaging in personal development and orienting new staff.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Computer skills are highly desirable, especially in the application of word processing.
- Pharmaceutical knowledge and skills.
- Ability to learn computer and application skills as applicable to role.
- Ability to make judgments in demanding situations.
