Job Description
About Executive Mental Health's Telehealth service:
Since 2020, EMH has used Telehealth to provide remote assessment and treatment of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional conditions of patients without leaving their home or care facility. EMH offers Telehealth services using a HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform which allows patients, residents’ family members, and skilled nursing facility management.
About the Telehealth Medical Assistant Role:
As an essential part of the care team, the Telehealth Medical Assistant acts as a ‘Telehealth Concierge’ and ensures residents receive the quality care they need from the clinicians, while respecting social distancing and safety measures. An extension of the clinical team, they coordinate the visits to the patients, take the Telehealth tablet from room to room, and offer a warm interface before the doctor begins their therapy session.
They work in close collaboration with EMH clinicians, liaisons, and facility staff. The liaisons work with Telehealth Medical Assistants to build rapport with Skilled Nursing faculty, sweep for referrals, and identify new possible patients to service.
Job Duties:
- Visit the assigned skilled nursing facilities (must be able to drive to facility) for daily work assignments.
- Bring Telehealth equipment from patient to patient for Telehealth Services at partner skilled nursing facilities.
- Assist Clinical Staff Team Members by discussing Telehealth services with new patients.
- Coordination of Care with both Clinical Staff and Facility Staff.
- Provide and gather patient’s medical documentation as instructed by clinical staff member.
- Manage daily preparation checklist for equipment care such as sanitization, recharging of equipment, and safekeeping/storage.
- Work closely and provide follow up with facility staff members as needed.
- Develop a working knowledge of Telehealth web application (Doxy).
- Filing Clinical documentation as directed by facility staff.
- Technology Troubleshooting (general knowledge of WIFI, internet connectivity). Live support provided as needed.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
- Adhere to all standards found within the HIPAA Compliance Privacy Regulations.
Requirements
- The job requires in-person visits to all Skilled Nursing locations, must be experienced in infection control and PPE. We conduct safety training in preparation for working with COVID-19 positive patients face-to-face.

- Weekly/Monthly COVID-19 testing.
- Traveling to different facilities upon request, commute can vary.
- Flexibility with scheduling.
- Availability on the weekends.
- Must have an active cellular service for communication with our staff.
