What You Will Do:
We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Energy Sustainability Infrastructure State and Local (ESISL) Segment in Technology Enablement. In this role, you will report to our ESISL Technology Solutions team.
This role will require you to utilize your depth of experience to act as a thought leader regarding IT Solutions Architecture
You will assure delivery of successful deployments of digital solutions and be at the forefront of new features and capabilities of a broad set of IT methods, capabilities, and infrastructure.
Solution Architect Capabilities:
Create, document, and evangelize IT solutions and cloud reference architectures with a focus on microservices and native commercial cloud services
Design, develop, and integrate prototype solutions and services to assist with business development or customer demonstrations
Rearchitect existing and design new cloud systems that integrate with our client's legacy systems, COTS packages, SaaS applications, and data systems
Work with clients and account teams to understand and package the right set of capabilities into a solution that meets the specific client need
Design solutions that accommodate all aspects of the lifecycle and personnel including migrations, deployment, monitoring, training, and helpdesk
Communicate best practices/frameworks; specifically, agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps
Communicate with clients in non-technical terms, understand their requirements and guide developers with suitable, integrated digital solutions
Understand broad firm capabilities and build a network of experts to support solutioning and quality of delivery
Drive and provide architecture review and contingency plans and documentation aligning to industry best-practices and client policy and regulations
Work with clients and account teams to understand the client needs
Understand and package the right set of capabilities into a solution that meets the specific client need
Lead the solution architecture through the pursuit and delivery process for our commercial and Public Sector clients
Lead the technical responses to proposals, including developing the conceptual architecture, aligning the pursuit team around the architecture, writing responses that win, and taking a lead role in client presentations as the “owner” of the solution
Once the engagement is “won”, act as the technical lead, coordinating resources across Guidehouse to bring the right team to the engagement, and ensuring the project is delivered with a high quality and leverages leading practices and frameworks
Provide subject matter expertise, white papers, capture, and hands-on proposal support for opportunities.
What You Will Need:
Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust
Bachelor’s degree with a MINIMUM of SEVEN (7) years of relevant experience in software engineering and architecture in the consulting industry, preferably Federal industry
A MINIMUM of 3 (THREE) years of experience designing and deploying cloud solutions to include FedRAMP
Knowledge of loosely coupled architecture design patterns, microservices, and containerization.
Experience developing, integrating, deploying, and maintaining software solutions in modern DevSecOps environments.
Knowledge of native commercial Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) services, PaaS and SaaS solutions.
Experience with business development and proposal writing to include responding to Request for Proposals (RFP)
Ability to travel up to 25%
This role is a hybrid role which will require you to go into the closest Guidehouse Office as needed or on occasion
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Preference will be given to candidates who reside within a reasonable number of miles of a Guidehouse Office
Commercial experience designing and deploying cloud solutions
Active architect certification in another major SaaS platform or middleware (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, MuleSoft, Appian, Palantir, Databricks)
Active AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certification
Ability to develop solutions using technologies including React, Node.JS, Python
Experience with Generative AI and RAG.
Experience with ITIL, Service Management.
Advanced understanding of cybersecurity and secure coding techniques
Demonstrated ability to influence and consult including providing options with pros, cons and risks around key technical decisions during design and implementation.
Advanced understanding of cybersecurity and secure coding techniques
Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups.
Strong organizational skills and understanding of the Project Management lifecycle.
Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology.
Ability to balance between rapid prototyping and long-term system architecture.
Track-record of developing large-scale, multi-tier applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interface with a broad range of people and roles.
Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused attitude and ability to deal with ambiguity.
Proven team player and team builder.
Ability to “think big” and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype.
The annual salary range for this position is $144,400.00-$216,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
