Cunard is one of the oldest and most famous ocean liners in the world. This is a hybrid position, based in our Santa Clarita office.
As Financial Analyst you’ll provide essential financial support to our Business Development Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents within Cunard North America, as well as collaborating closely with both North American and UK Finance teams. You’ll oversee the A&P budgets for Cunard North America Sales and Cunard Australia, handle spend accruals, manage budget setup for agencies and the Sales team in Salesforce, manage and support financial forecasting, annual planning, and variance analysis related to A&P and assist with co-op marketing auditing. You’ll also manage fleet car contracts, preparing financial presentations, analyzing data, and providing ad hoc reporting to the Cunard North America leadership team and Cunard Australia. This hands-on role requires direct interaction with multiple stakeholders to enhance and refine business processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Consolidating and Analyzing Sale Forecasts: Consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts for Australia and North America. Compare actual results and forecasts against planned figures, prior forecasts, and previous years' data.
- Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Work with internal teams, including the UK head office, to understand financial variances. Provide accurate spend data for accruals and forecasts related to G&A for North America Sales and Australia.
- Produce Reports and Benchmarking: Independently generate month-end reports, ad hoc reports, and benchmarking analyses as directed by management. Serve the Cunard North America leadership team and Cunard Australia with actionable insights.
- Develop and Automate Budgeting Processes: Develop and automate recurring budget and reporting processes using SalesForce for Cunard North America Sales Team and Travel Agencies. Streamline reporting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Manage Sales Co-op and Reporting: Oversee and audit Cunard North America Sales co-op activities and reporting. Manage the impact on G&A and A&P budgets and provide resources for annual planning.
- Ensure Cross-Departmental Support: Coordinate with finance and business/operations departments to support planning, forecasting, and reporting for Cunard North America and Cunard Australia. Ensure seamless integration and support across departments.
- Manage Fleet Car Contracts: Oversee fleet car contracts and maintenance, including budgeting and financial tracking. Ensure effective management of Cunard North America Sales fleet resources.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- MBA or financial certifications (e.g. CPA) a plus.
- 2+ years of finance/accounting experience.
- Experience in financial software and systems including PowerBI, Oracle, and Hyperion.
- Advanced ability in Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred.
- Ability to develop, communicate, and facilitate budget and forecast processes.
- Ability to prepare and present financial analysis to ‘non-financial’ audience.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Base Salary Range: $57,900.00 to $78,100.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidate's qualifications and experience uniquely.
