Property & Casualty Insurance Associate
Join a prestigious AmLaw 200 law firm as a Property & Casualty Insurance Associate located in Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Orlando, FL; or West Palm Beach, FL. This role offers a motivated and experienced associate the opportunity to handle significant insurance litigation cases, deeply engaging with insurance coverage issues and bad faith insurance matters. The position offers a dynamic work environment where legal expertise in insurance claims and coverage will be utilized extensively to provide top-tier legal services to clients.
Compensation: $150,000.00 - $195,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of insurance litigation cases, from inception to resolution.
- Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, and contracts.
- Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations specific to insurance coverage and bad faith claims.
- Provide strategic legal counsel and advice to clients regarding potential risks in the areas of insurance and liability.
- Prepare for and represent clients during trials and court proceedings, ensuring effective defense strategies.
- Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to discuss case details, strategies, and outcomes.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Active Florida bar license with 2 to 6 years of experience in insurance litigation.
- Demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage issues.
- Strong writing skills, able to create persuasive legal documents and correspondence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing relationships with clients and team members effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in bad faith insurance matters.
- Previous federal or state appellate clerkship experience.
- Proven ability to handle complex litigation independently.
- Desire to engage in professional development and continuous learning in the field of insurance law.
