The Center for Preparedness and Response (CPR), Division of Operations, is recruiting one Associate Governmental Program Analyst to join the Emergency Funding Coordination Branch/Local Coordination Section/Contract Coordination Unit. The CPR coordinates statewide public health emergency preparedness and response planning for the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) with a primary focus on preparing Californians for public health emergencies.
The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) of the Contract Coordination Unit. The AGPA performs complex technical analysis related to the administration of the CPR Local Assistance Program to local health departments (LHDs), in relation to the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases (ELC) Cooperative Agreement (CoAg). Responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and evaluation of local assistance invoices and spend plans.
- Detailed analysis of Fi$cal reporting for the reimbursement contract.
- Review and consolidation of Local Work Plans received from LHDs for federal reporting on the ELC CoAg.
- Independent analysis of Fi$cal reports for State Operations expenditures to ensure alignment with program budgets for stakeholders receiving state support funding.
Up to 5% travel is required. To address urgent operational needs or conduct emergency-related response activities, the incumbent may occasionally be required to work outside core business hours, travel, and transport up to 25 lbs.
This is a 12-month Limited-Term Full-Time position that may be extended or become Permanent.
