The Team:
AQR’s Legal Team partners with internal groups to support the firm’s broad diversified platform of strategies and products.
Your Role:
Reporting directly to AQR’s Head of Private Funds and Managed Accounts, you will be based in AQR’s Greenwich, CT headquarters and be responsible for:
- Structuring, drafting and negotiating investment management agreements, side letters and private fund offering documentation
- Advising on the structuring various institutional products, including domestic and offshore funds and investment vehicles.
- Advising on various legal and regulatory matters relating to the product development and distribution activities of the firm’s institutional asset management and tax-aware business.
- Collaborating extensively with internal teams (legal, compliance, risk, operations) on all matters related to the above.

What You’ll Bring:
- JD with an active license to practice and a member in good standing
- 3-5+ years at a major law firm or institutional asset manager
- Substantial experience structuring and advising hedge funds and negotiating investment management agreements for separately managed accounts preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting business teams/clients
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and project management skills
- Sound judgment with ability to work as both a team member and leader

The salary range for this role is expected to be $200,000 to $215,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs. This wage range may also be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
