This position has a base compensation range of $60,000 - $90,000 USD Annual. This range represents the expected base compensation range for this position. The actual compensation may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience and time in the role.
SUMMARY
Support the community mortgage growth initiative by producing a minimum of $10M in annual production within our established community charter. Mortgage production will come from the hunter gather approach. It will be imperative that the RMLO builds lasting relationships within the community and in the real estate community.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Generate mortgage loans from the defined community area by establishing and growing real estate agent relationships.
2. Make weekly calls to well-established agents in the community and perform lunch and learns to share BCU products and services.
3. Daily use of Salesforce is expected to track all activity including current and future leads and opportunities.
4. Establish strong working relationships with the operations team including processing, underwriting, and closing.
5. Perform activities in support of new ILCRA expectations as defined by BCU Action plan to include outreach for Community Development, Housing Assistance and Down Payment Assistance programs in footprint.
6. Maintain a high NPS score for all closed transactions.
7. Thoroughly complete first mortgage loan applications in the MCP platform including collecting of income, assets, disclosures, ITP, any applicable LOX’s for credit etc.
8. Ensure loan submissions are accurate, timely and profitable.
9. Maintain a working knowledge of investor guidelines, matrices, and required LLPA’s.
10. Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales and service goals, including NPS goals and eNPS.
11. Apply current BCU lending fundamentals, policies, and procedures, including Regulations B and Z, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and TRID.
12. Provide fundamental credit counseling to members, where appropriate and necessary.
13. Facilitate training and attend conference calls with the real estate brokerages.
14. Comply with all applicable policies, procedures and regulations related to mortgage loan origination.
15. Successfully complete all required registrations or certifications as needed i.e.: comply with safe act requirements including NMLS #.
16. Promote the credit union mortgage products and services by hosting a minimum of 6 on-site seminars, webinars.
17. All duties are subject but not limited to the above.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5+ years retail mortgage lending experience.
• Must have own book of business realtors, COI’s, etc.
• Thorough working knowledge of investor underwriting guidelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge in origination, processing and closing mortgage loans.
• Proficient in basic use of the Windows operating system, e-mail, and the Internet.
• Strong communication, analytical, sales and telemarketing skills required.
• Skillful at prioritizing work and can perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
