About the Job:
Certified Public Accountant
We are seeking to directly hire a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who is ready to thrive in a dynamic environment, providing comprehensive accounting services to a range of clients. This role requires a proactive individual to manage a dedicated team and oversee various financial processes including bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparations, and client reporting. As part of our firm, you will contribute to maintaining and elevating our standards of client service, enhancing their financial stability and nurturing long-term collaboration.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the complete range of accounting services for clients including preparing tax deposits, quarterly and year-end reporting, 1099s, and sales tax filings.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, compile and review financial statements, and perform accounting cleanup assistance.
- Maintain responsibility for payroll oversight and processes.
- Supervise a team of 5-6 staff members, setting schedules and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with partners, managers, and staff to promote an integrated team dynamic.
- Engage in regular interactions with clients, providing them a quality service experience, and proactively address potential issues.
- Extend your expertise and knowledge to ongoing projects, seeking to improve processes and client satisfaction continually.
- Utilize software such as QuickBooks or Accounting CS to input data and manage financial information effectively.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant license required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing staff and projects.
- Proven payroll processing experience.
- Substantial experience in accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in public accounting is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with standard office hardware, and strong data entry skills.
Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or Accounting CS Software is helpful.
