In 1964 on the corner of Culver and Bleecker in Utica, Rich Nimey established Rich Nimey’s Sales and Service, Inc. Rich Nimey built a repair business upon his values and ethics. With his 3 sons by his side since they could walk he continued to grow and teach. Modern times have prompted change and expansion, with a new approach in leadership “Nimeys The New Generation '' is now run by Rich’s eldest son Matthew Nimey. With much hard work and dedication to his staff and company Nimey's The New Generation had outgrown the original location. A state of the art automotive center which includes the following services: Major and minor mechanical work, electronic system diagnostics, state inspections, body work, towing, and car sales was designed and built. Since the great expansion in 2014 there has been incredible growth and more expansion. In September of 2022 Cindy and Matt added a second location in Boonville NY called Matt Nimey Buick GMC. This new car franchise has an incredible reputation in the community and we will now implement our mission to this new location. Richard Nimey, Cindy and Richs’ middle son, owns and operates NextGen Car Care in Clinton NY. This state of the art facility works hand and hand with New Generation Cars and Matt Nimey Buick GMC. Together they operate as Nimeys Automotive Group.

As an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer with Nimey'sAutomotive, you are the person that our customers look to when they need help with their vehicle. You are the person that our customers see every time they make an investment into their vehicle, because of these reasons you play a large role in building relationships with our customers.
Service Advisors have the responsibility of taking our customer through the entire repair process, keeping them informed of the status of their vehicle and ensuring their satisfaction before they leave our facility.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet every customer that enters our facility with hospitality and respect
- Present the best solution to properly repair our customer’s vehicle in a way that is easy for them to understand
- Manage the store’s workflow in an effective and efficient manner
- Consistently and effectively sell our services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity
- Maintain a positive attitude and team atmosphere at all times
- Communicate on the phone in a clear professional manner
- Build long-term relationships between the store, yourself and the customer
- Directs, coordinates, and participates in performing customer service activities
- Shuttle customers as needed
- Ensure that all repairs are performed to proper specifications.
- Work together as a team andassist other employees as needed.

Qualifications

- Driving record acceptable to our current insurance carrier
- Proficiency in Windows based computer software and automotive store applications
- Experience inCustomer Service and Service sales
- High School Diploma
Physical Requirements:
- Being dependable and reliable for a position that is scheduled for Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Being on your feet the majority of the workday (standing, walking, coordinating parts, etc.)
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects over 50 lbs.
- Keeping a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment
