Location: Position is in office. Candidate must live in/around Chesterfield, MO.
Position Purpose: Direct high quality pharmacy services and products to customers and patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and laws regulating pharmacy practice. Coordinate all pharmaceutical services including procurement, dispensing of medications, order tracking and inventory management.
- Train, develop, and motivate pharmacy staff in dispensing prescriptions in accordance with physician’s orders and pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Manage pharmacy team ensuring employees performance is in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including URAC and TJC.
- Ensure that inventory is maintained at levels that avoid disruption of patient therapy and in line with financial targets.
- Responsible for inventory management including cycle counting and variance reconciliation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate resolution of patient and/or order issues.
- Participate in the development, revision, and review of standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in or advanced degree (PharmD., M.S.) in pharmacy. 5+ years of specialty pharmacy operations experience, including cold chain management experience. Knowledgeable and experienced in Utilization Review Accreditation (URAC) and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and accreditation.
License/Certification: Current state’s Pharmacist license and license at other states as required.
Pay Range: $103,500.00 - $191,600.00 per year.
