Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – MS/Oncology – 2 North 48’s
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×4, 48 hours per week, will accept 36’s
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- IN/Compact License
- 2 Years Experience
- Post-op patient assessments, experience with drains (foleys, JP drains, NG tubes)
- BLS
Other Details:
- Not accepting locals
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6 depending on staffing
- Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU)
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
If candidates have IN/Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package they are eligible to apply.
Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Unit Information: 2North is a 15 bed, fast-paced Medical-Surgical unit that specializes in a variety of patient populations including Gynecology-Oncology, Gynecology, Hematology/Oncology, Cystic Fibrosis, and Sickle Cell Anemia. Nurses will gain learning, experience, and skills with central lines, drains, physical assessments, and medication administration, including chemotherapy upon certification. 2North values align with the IU Health Values: Team, Compassion, Purpose, and Excellence.
