Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - Per Diem
We are excited to offer the opportunity for an energetic and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate directly with Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional care to patients right in their homes. This position is instrumental in helping patients achieve their recovery goals, assisting them with various physical exercises, daily activities, and ensuring continuous progress in their treatment plans. As a per diem team member, you will play a crucial role in influencing patient recovery, providing both emotional and physical support during their rehabilitation journey.
Compensation: DOE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer manual physical exercises and assist patients in non-manual exercises, enhancing their recovery and mobility.
- Assist in ambulatory functional activities and daily-living activities, adapting techniques to each patient's specific needs.
- Collaborate with physical therapists and physicians to plan and evaluate treatment adjusting for optimal patient benefit.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care services, maintaining compliance with legal requirements and advising on necessary actions.
- Provide follow-up visits for home health orthopedic patients, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to treatment plans.
- Maintain eligibility and perform maintenance therapy according to organizational standards and practices.
- Responsible for driving to patient homes, managing time effectively to cover the designated areas efficiently.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
- Current California state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- At least 1 year of experience in home health care as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of compassionate patient interactions.
- Valid Driver's license with a clean DMV record and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with orthopedic patients.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation software.
- Advanced knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in home health services.
- Proactive in continuing education and professional development in physical therapy practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and changing environment.
