Senior Manager, Talent Development and Employer Engagement - Health Care

Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Talent Development and Employer Engagement – Health Care will directly support the organization’s mission to drive more equitable and inclusive employment outcomes for opportunity adults in the health care industry, with a focus on placing OYA in living wage, sustainable jobs in green and blue career pathways. The position will work to cultivate and grow relationships with existing and new employers and professional business organizations in the health care industry. The position will work directly with employers to support their talent development needs, including developing internship programs, apprenticeships, entry level and living wage jobs that lead to high mobility careers in the health care industry.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead employer engagement efforts with the health care pathways academy.
- Lead the development of employer and business engagement strategies to cultivate and track increased employer engagement in the sector.
- Convene industry-specific meetings with employers and partners to better align talent development programming with current workforce demand.
- Manage relationships with key industry influencers, stakeholders, and business leaders in both the private and public sectors.
- Coordinate and collaborate on sector employer talent development needs with the designated career pathways case manager.
- Develop new industry partnerships to support sector-specific career pathways.
- Lead outreach, marketing, and communications with sector-specific industry leaders.
- Support the development of funding and development initiatives, including grant writing and reporting to support the growth of UNITE-LA’s sector-specific pathways programs.
- Maintain databases, program data and records to track employer engagement and commitments.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, organization and implementation of employer meetings and events.
- Develop and manage project workplans to track the impact of the employer engagement.
- Provide support to the Workforce Programs teams as needed.
- Produce high-caliber, professional written correspondence.
- Produce professional summary reports of meetings and events.
- Serve as support personnel on special projects and workforce programs events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience and demonstrated outcomes working within the industry.
- Experience working with employers to develop apprenticeships and internships programs.
- Experience working with public and private stakeholders in support of opportunity adults.
- Experience developing programs in support of opportunity adults.
- Experience working with diverse groups of partners and stakeholders of various levels.
- Experience with planning and managing high caliber meetings and events.
- Experience developing workplans to track programs’ progress.
- Familiarity with CRM and project management tools (e.g. Salesforce, Asana, etc.).
The Senior Manager, Talent Development and Employer Engagement – Health Care will report to the Associate Director, Inclusion and Community Partnerships. This position will work closely with the Workforce Programs team, as well as the Senior Vice President, Programs and Talent Development.
This is a full-time exempt position. While many staff continue to regularly work remotely, attendance at our downtown Los Angeles office or local offsite locations is expected several times throughout the year. Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation:
The starting salary for this position is $72,000-$80,000, and the full range is $72,000 - $89,250. If you are offered a position at UNITE-LA, your final compensation will be based on factors such as relevant skills, experience and/or education.
