JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Job Summary:
Maintains a safe and comfortable environment for patients, intervening as appropriate. Reports observations and actions to the charge nurse.
Education:
Position requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Mental Health, Psychology or other related area of study.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
None Specified.
Experience:
Willing to accept new graduate to train, but 2-3 years related experience is preferred.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate with all patient populations.
Ability to appropriately apply restraint and seclusion procedures when necessary.
Ability to process patient information and perform assigned duties in a confidential, professional and empathetic manner.
Ability to operate internal computer systems and applications to effectively accomplish assigned duties.
