Position Summary
This position is responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of company occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
- Manages the required physical evaluation programs and services to meet regulatory requirements such as OSHA, Department of Transportation, CDC, etc.
- Assists with design, implementation, and management of all company safety policies and strategies to create a culture of safety and wellness.
- Assists with the accident investigation program to identify root cause analysis of all incidents and near misses.
- Coordinates post-offer pre-employment screens for prospective and new employees and reviews results to notify Human Resources or hiring manager.
- Assists companies/departments with identifying, evaluating, and implementing accommodations and return to work options for workers with restricted duty.
- Conducts on-site visits to company jobsites to ensure physical and working conditions are accurately communicated on job descriptions for appropriate testing needs.
- Creates and maintains all records related to occupational health services.
- Participates in and promotes safety procedures to promote a safe working environment including compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
- Assists the Wellness team with wellness activities such as health screenings, biometric blood draws, trainings, events, and communications.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee health records and information in compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Occupational Safety, or related field; and
- two years of related experience; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certified
- Phlebotomy Certification or the ability to become certified within a reasonable amount of time after employment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess a high level of technical expertise with the ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of safety within the worksite.
- The position may be required to be "on-call" to respond to emergency situations.
- Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Must have the ability to work at all levels within an organization and the ability to work in a diverse work group.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred, but not necessary.
