Cancer Partners of Nebraska is seeking an LPN/CMA that assists the physician and/or registered nurses in providing patient care in a clinical setting. This position performs routine activities required for the efficient operation of the clinic and assures the efficient and effective functioning of clinic processes. You must be a graduate from an accredited LPN program or CMA program, with the preference of one year of experience in a medical setting or LPN license in the state of Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Patient Care: accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, collecting patient history, performing screenings per provider guidelines, assisting physicians/nurses with bone marrow biopsies and other sterile procedures as needed, charting, relaying instructions to patients/families, answering calls and providing pertinent information.
- Clerical: determining which medical records are required for patient visits, calling in prescriptions, completing forms/requisitions as needed.
- Environmental: setting up instruments and equipment according to protocol, cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control, ordering, sorting, storing supplies, restocking exam/procedure rooms.

Education and Training:
- CMA:
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
- Successful completion of certification examination
- LPN:
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program
- State licensure
Experience:
- Minimum of one year medical office experience.
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of specific assisting tasks.
- Knowledge of and appreciation for a teamwork concept, clinic policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care as it relates to the Clinic area.
- Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and other regulatory policies.
Skills:
- Skill in customer service, communications, problem solving, organization and confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Skill in computer keyboarding.
Abilities:

Environmental and Physical Demands:
