£28,000 starting salary – Full time (35 hours per week)
Become part of our friendly housing team at GCT, working to ensure our older residents are supported to live independently in their own homes.
We are looking for a Senior Independent Living Officer to work across our four independent living schemes in Gloucester. The role is hugely rewarding, empowering our residents to thrive in their own homes. You will be based at our Head Office in Gloucester and have day to day responsibility for the management of our housing service including that of staff supervision. You will also have regular resident contact, provide opportunities for social engagement and resident feedback, manage communal repairs and be responsible for H&S checks on site.
The right person will be compassionate and patient and have a real understanding of the needs of older people. You will need to be visible to our residents, visiting sites regularly, developing those relationships and providing that essential point of contact for our residents.
The role is subject to an enhanced DBS Check and you must hold a full, clean driving licence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Is solution focused and strives to obtain the best outcomes for residents
- You have a track record of being self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage your own workload and that of your Team
- You have a good understanding of professional boundaries
- Has experience of working with older people
- Has experience of understanding and working within policies, procedures, and code of conduct
