Major/Essential Functions:
Effectively supervise assigned areas of the Contracts and Grants Accounting Department.
Assist the Unit Associate Director of Contracts and Grants Accounting with the monitoring of sponsored project funds, grants and contracts as well as assist in financial reporting, compilations and distributions. Emphasis in federal grants and contracts.
Responsible for accounting functions according to established policies and procedures of TTUHSC at El Paso policies related to contracts and grants.
Assist in the maintenance of the institution fund structure and finance system to ensure accurate accounting records and reporting
Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report and Annual Audits
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Ability to learn complex financial information systems.
Experience in fund accounting, Banner Finance, and IBM Cognos.
Contract & Grant Accounting and Research Administration in a higher education environment.
Proficient in reconciling, analyzing, and financial reporting.
