Staff Accountant - Entry Level
Industry: Retail, Consumer Goods
Location: Mahwah, NJ
Salary: $50-65K plus bonus
Onsite: 5 days in office
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end close and set up new accounts
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statements, highlighting variances
- Maintain accounting records for accounts payable, fixed assets and leases
- Assist outside auditors at year-end
- Prepare monthly inventory reporting
- Maintain financial documents and related supporting documents
- Identify modifications and improvements to systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 0-3 years’ experience in public or private accounting
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project
