Job Summary:
The selected candidate will play a vital role in the capital raising process for our range of real estate debt funds. The Investor Relationships Team is responsible for all aspects of capital and strategy formation and investor reporting. This role provides an opportunity to develop a broad range of real estate capital markets and business development expertise. It provides deep and extensive exposure to one of the nation’s premier institutional real estate finance companies, as well as a wide array of sophisticated investors. This position is responsible for supporting a full range of activities relating to the raising of capital and management reporting. These activities include meeting and roadshow preparation and coordination, developing firm marketing materials, and supporting investor requests for information.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the coordination of meetings and roadshows with prospective institutional investors and consultants; provide research support in advance of the meetings.
- Attend investor pitches/meetings and provide general support on the follow-up of open items as needed.
- Assist with investor onboarding including working with internal and external legal teams and administrators to maintain organized records.
- Coordinate the creation of presentations, case studies, and other material for new funds.
- Update collateral material on a quarterly basis.
- In conjunction with the Analytics Team, maintain detailed support for all data in the collateral material, working closely with Compliance to ensure appropriate review of all materials.
- Work with internal teams to enhance broad communication efforts to both existing and potential investors.
- Support social media and online marketing according to brand standards, including LinkedIn posts and updates, as well as general website maintenance.
- Manage inbound investor requests to ensure a high touch, high value experience to internal partners or investors for routine, escalated, and urgent requests.
- Maintain a standard due diligence questionnaire for any new products; complete any individual questionnaires for investors or consultants.
- Coordinate client and consultant requests of information, reports, and meetings working closely with accounting, asset management, legal, compliance, and investment teams, as necessary.
- Proactively maintain and monitor investor CRM database.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; additional degrees or certifications a plus but not required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with investors in real estate, private equity capital raising.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Time management and organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities with limited oversight.
- Highly detail oriented and organized.
- Interpersonal communication – connects with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner; uses friendly, persuasive communication skills to gain interest and involvement of others in the work process; projects enthusiasm.
- Organizational Support – Recognizes and adjusts to change; maintains control of overall agenda, but includes others in a task-focused manner; creates a disciplined process.
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Juniper Square a plus.
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $84,000 - $126,000. Actual base salary will be determined by several components, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills and qualifications, base salary of internal peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a variety of financial, wellbeing, and health / welfare benefits.
