What we're looking for:
The Manager Accounting is a first-level manager that oversees the day-to-day cost accounting functions and financial reporting activities of an accounting team. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
What you'll do:
- Manage the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations for accounts with greater complexity.
- Research and document financial fluctuations.
- Collect data from source documents through data downloads and extracts, verify, and confirm data accuracy.
- Review the work and analysis performed by the junior team members and provide guidance on more complex transactions and reconciliations.
- Facilitate the quarterly and annual audit in addition to the preparation of work papers.
- Serve as the audit liaison for both Internal and External auditors and manage SOX activities for the Corporate Accounting Group.
- Manage the monthly forecast preparation of the company.
- Prepare analysis on fluctuations as required with distribution to the divisions in addition to the Corporate Finance groups.
- Manage relationships with the divisions and the corporate tax department.
- Lead the company-wide process to streamline the account reconciliation process.
- Identify areas of improvement within the accounting department to increase efficiencies and develop streamlined accounting processes, implementing solutions accordingly.
- Work closely with management, team members, and assigned business units to ensure the timely and accurate communication, implementation, and monitoring of regulatory, corporate, and department compliance guidelines.

What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
