As our Strategic Financial Analyst, your work will be highly visible and highly valued throughout Industrious. The financial strategies you’ll enact will help us maximize cash flow, forecast business operations and allocate capital. These pivotal functions are what will allow us to continue to drive growth in our quickly growing network business (ergo, will be very much appreciated!) You’ll be supporting teams across our entire organization with particular emphasis on Real Estate, Member Operations, Financial Leadership and our C-Suite. As a member of our relatively lean finance team, you’ll have frequent opportunities to work directly with executive leadership and gain the kind of executive presentation experience that might not normally come along with a financial analyst position. Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports on network fundamentals and recommend strategies to improve performance across the global portfolio.
- Prepare monthly financial presentations and provide commentary for the Executive Leadership team.
- Provide insights into monthly variance analysis including review of financials for various department stakeholders (Marketing, People, Facilities, and Member Experience).
- Manage Finance team initiatives and develop tools/processes that support the goal of maximizing cash-flow.
- Assist with development & maintenance of complex financial models to support the annual budget process.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and coordinate multiple projects as required to support strategic initiatives and executive decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent degree.
- 2+ years of experience as a full-time financial analyst in either Real Estate, Financial Services, B2C, Hospitality or a similar industry with a major role focus on reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis & modeling.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, especially utilizing consolidations, indirects, and lookups.
- Experience creating monthly P&L analysis and variance commentary.
- Interest in understanding the intersection of business strategy and finance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, and proactively develop solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team focus, and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
Preferred experience:
- Financial analysis within the Real estate industry.
- Real estate valuation experience, calculating IRRs and projecting future cash flows.
Compensation:
The annual base compensation range for this role is between $92,000 and $97,000. The successful candidate's actual base compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications. You will also be eligible for a target annual bonus of 10% of your base compensation, linked to personal and company performance. Base and bonus compensation are just two components of Industrious’ total compensation package that may be available to employees.
