Come aboard our dynamic team in this journey-level role where you'll be at the forefront of providing technical, analytical, and strategic support for the allocation of ARPA State and Local Fiscal Relief Funds, alongside exciting special projects. As a vital team member, you'll take the lead in monitoring projects, financial expenditures, and timelines while tracking the performance of initiatives that will make a real impact on Cumberland County. Under the mentorship of our Chief of Staff, your work will be evaluated through real-time observations, retrospective analysis, and a thorough review of your reports and documentation. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate technical and strategic assistance with projects developed for ARPA Local Fiscal Relief Funds and freed-up capacity general funds.
- Monitor projects to ensure compliance with all federal, state, local laws, policies, and ordinances.
- Work with stakeholders and contractors to identify issues and provide recommendations for solutions.
- Monitor expenditures for multiple projects to ensure funding is used in compliance with established guidelines and that projects are implemented and completed in the most efficient manner to avoid overspending.
- Lead and/or assist with public outreach efforts to develop community support and identify community needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major/degree in business or public administration, accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in government accounting; or equivalent education and experience.

Management Preference: Experience with federal grants and/or American Rescue Plan funds.

Skills:
- Knowledge of standard office and computer equipment to successfully complete work; and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- General financial skill to prepare and administer project budgets or program finances.
