Nature and Scope of Job
USDM Life Sciences is seeking a Lab Support Validation Engineer to support our client with benchtop applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and configure benchtop computers with the standard image.
- Install and configure laboratory instrumentations.
- Support instrument qualification in IS-related activities.
- Build and image new computers.
- Configure TCP/IP network settings.
- Evaluate firewall security.
- Configure Windows security settings.
- Perform validation and document the results.
- Understand Windows Active Directory.
- Set up global groups.
- Add and remove computers from the network.
Additional Responsibilities
- Create support documentation to establish an instrument knowledge base library.
- Work with the infrastructure team to establish required network connections based on requirements.
- Complete the assigned training curriculum and maintain training at 100%, which includes training on Validation SOPs, Asset Lifecycle Management Systems, Document, Management Systems, Paperless Validation System.
- Update SOPs if required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in creating, configuring, and imaging computer systems, particularly with standard imaging processes.
- Knowledge of analytical benchtop applications and validation is desired.
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and benchtop issues.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP network settings, firewall security evaluation, Windows security configuration, and Active Directory management.
- Ability to perform validation tasks, document results, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Strong organizational skills for creating comprehensive support documentation and maintaining an instrument knowledge base library.
- Commitment to completing assigned training curricula and maintaining training at 100%, with familiarity in validation SOPs, asset lifecycle management systems, document management systems, and paperless validation systems.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for working with infrastructure teams, managing user groups, and setting up global groups.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to changes as required.
Education & Certification
- A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
