Job Description
McDonald’s Treasury seeks to drive business growth and enhance stakeholder value by providing world-class global financial leadership and expertise to the McDonald’s System. Guided by McDonald’s Values, the Treasury team works as trusted business partners to protect and build the McDonald’s brand by maximizing System access to capital and liquidity, safeguarding Company assets, managing financial risks, and providing the business with financial counsel, education, and expertise to make informed decisions.
McDonald’s is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst that will serve as an integral member of the Global Treasury Team. Reporting to the Director of Treasury Operations and working across the department with Global Funding, the role supports the international cash pool, global cash positioning and forecasting, bank account management, and other value-add activities necessary to support global treasury.
Responsibilities:
- Manage/support treasury, global banking and liquidity management activities in a wide area of subjects including international cash management, transaction execution, treasury systems and operations, internal controls, banking products, reporting, and query/issues analysis and resolution.
- Optimize cash held by international legal entities, analyze cash positions and liquidity pools, making recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the execution, tracking, and reporting of the repatriation plan to a wide audience (manager-treasurer) working cross-functionally with subsidiaries, tax, legal, and accounting.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with various internal and external global partners, including banks, subsidiary finance contacts, and other finance leaders throughout the organization.
- Update and produce a variety of monthly reports: Cash Forecast, IC Loan, Bank Fees, etc.
- Support the management of the intercompany lending portfolio and global cash pooling activities, while advising the Treasury Operations team with corporate cash flow projection inputs.
- Monitor intercompany interest calculations and accounting entries, payment activity, and aging schedule.
- Assist with FX trades and payments.
- Manage global bank accounts, perform TMS/bank system administration, and troubleshoot bank account and treasury-related issues.
- Open/close new bank accounts and make updates to authorized signers for various entities as needed.
- Manage requests for international Letters of Credit and maintenance of originals.
- Support global banking partners, local finance teams, and audit requests (internal/external) to ensure all SOX compliance, FBAR, and treasury compliance tasks/requests are delivered accurately and on time.
- Provide analysis, troubleshooting, and reporting support to the cash management team and act as a back-up as needed.
- Support ad hoc treasury requests.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of advancing Corporate Finance, Treasury or Accounting experience.
- Proven ability to facilitate multiple workstreams concurrently and work cross-functionally.
- Strong understanding of corporate and international financial management concepts.
- Critical thinker with the ability to understand, develop, and assess holistic implications of actions and processes.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and overall attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Tableau, etc. and demonstrated ability to learn software applications quickly.
- Experience using City Financial or other TMS and/or various banking platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field.
- CTP, CPA or MBA a plus.
