PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct manufacturing process audits to verify, review and evaluate the manufacturing process and critical process monitors to established criteria.
- Perform manufacturing process audits to verify conformance to technical documentation, engineering specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate process audits of documented engineering procedures and report the results to management.
- Produce audit observation reports, defend audit findings and assist with corrective actions.
- Investigate issues, monitor and enter corrective actions as necessary, and manage Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) programs.
- Perform Root-Cause-Analysis and Corrective/Preventive action planning, and present audit reports to senior level management with suggestions and feedback for corrective actions.
- Perform audits, maintain documentation, and ensure that company processes and procedures are compliant with ISO and IATF guidelines.
- Perform manufacturing system audits to ensure elements of the quality system have been developed, documented and effectively implemented.
- Develop audit checklists based on contracts, government requirements, and internal procedures to ensure compliance.
- Participate as an internal auditor for the Quality Management System.
- Audit all processes to verify compliance against product work instructions, raw material tolerances, product manufacturing parameters, internal packaging standards, finished goods FIFO and requirements dictated by internal procedures and ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 current revisions.
- Identify and develop process improvement plans/root cause analysis for Senior Management.
- Maintain documentation of completed audit findings, and pertinent notes in all tracking systems.
- Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality-related policies and procedures in the facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous auditing experience required.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO14001 required.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 preferred.
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
- Automotive/Electric Vehicle experience preferred.
- Meticulous attention to detail is required with strong analytical thinking.
- Documentation skills to communicate findings to managers and other employees.
- Thoroughness in assessing and reducing the risk, by identifying defects and ensuring industry compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc).
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) is preferred.
- Ability to work on your feet for stretches of time required.
- Up to 30% travel.
