The Business Management and Financial Governance team sits within the Finance Operations under the Finance COO organization. Our mission is to serve as a trusted partner across Finance COO and the broader Finance disciplines to drive transparency and accountability of Citi’s Resources. Specifically, this role will report to the Finance COO Business Execution lead/ Head of Business Management and Financial Governance. The individual is responsible for enhancing and revising reporting for Finance COO and broader Finance initiatives including the reporting of operational monthly processes, while ensuring governance and compliance with all of Citi’s and the Finance organization’s policies, procedures, and processes. Enhanced control and governance of these processes is an expected outcome.
This individual will work closely with SMEs and Business Execution leads to achieve the target state objectives and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Drive operational reporting across Finance Operations and Finance COO – including weekly, monthly quarterly and annually reviews.
- Redesign the Workforce Management planning framework and processes to provide Finance COO and its sub teams with actual data on various factors (e.g., location, job grade, job profile, skills). This would require enhanced controls, clear timelines, and accountability.
- Develop key performance indicators; monitor and track performance across processes and activities to support decision makers.
- Analyze and interpret data using tools and platforms that support business needs such as dashboards, data visualization software and business intelligence tools and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Create and deliver effective presentations for Finance COO Resourcing as well as Finance Operations using a variety of media for All Hands and Ask Me Anything sessions.
- Support and help define Finance-specific resource strategies, including location, organizational design principles, sourcing, and monitor adherence and implementation across Finance disciplines.
- Partner closely with Citi’s forecasting teams (LFO) to align and revamp our cycle process to drive greater transparency and operational practices while minimizing risk.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
- Exemplary execution of diverse operational BOW and defined results inclusive of re-engineering.
- Subject matter expertise and desire to work in business management and financial governance, including planning, reporting and location strategy.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to see the big picture with high attention to critical details and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with and confidence in delivering impeccable presentations to clients and senior management.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Advanced Microsoft office skills.
- Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders.
- At least 8 -10 years overall experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, Masters Preferred.
