Join our diverse and growing Accounting & Finance team at PrizePicks. This role reports to the Accounting Senior Manager and is based in Atlanta, GA, with potential for flexible work arrangements.
What you'll do:
- Prepare recurring & non-recurring journal entries
- Enhance the company's balance sheet reconciliations and related support
- Review deferred expense and income items, e.g. prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules and prepare related balance sheet reconciliations
- Review AP Aging reconciliation, monitor unpaid and missing items
- Collaborate with external accountants on audits and tax preparation
- Recommend quick win process/procedural changes and controls with high cost-benefit
- Identify process improvements and risk areas
- Contribute to special projects as needed
What you have:
- 2-3 years of audit or public accounting experience (essential)
- Additional 1+ years of relevant work experience in technology (e.g., e-commerce, software, internet gaming) is beneficial
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Progress toward CPA designation if degree is not in accounting
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work through ambiguity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with data-rich business intelligence environments
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with mid-market ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) is a plus
