Financial Analyst/Accountant I
SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities are to assist the Credit Manager with maintenance of a customer database in the company’s ERP system. Monitor accounts receivable balances and compliance with monthly and quarterly analysis and reporting requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for assisting with daily customer maintenance which includes new customer setup in Oracle, updating existing customer information such as contact, address, payment terms, tax ID information and customer deactivation.
- Perform preliminary research for OFAC restrictions and sanctions for customers around the globe.
- Perform bad debt reserve calculations and generate related reports for distribution to operational personnel for proper collection procedures.
- Assist in complying with external and internal auditor requests related to accounts receivable processes and procedures.
- Assist with the review, recording, and maintenance of various types of lease contracts and lease records by using a lease management software.
- Assist the Consolidation department reviewing monthly Senior Management books (COO, OPS, CODM), monthly flash reports, Oracle to Hyperion/CCH tie out, and Hyperion financial dashboard.
- Assist the Credit and Consolidation department in various other tasks and projects as needed.
- Some overtime required at peak times.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and any ERP system.
Experience in the oilfield services industry is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong technical, organizational and communication skills required.
Ability to deal with unforeseen situations in a professional manner.
