Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the standard costing system in a manufacturing environment. Provides financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, and reporting cost data.
Job Details/Responsibilities
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Monthly work order closing responsibilities. Review, analyze and correct work order errors.
- Lead monthly plan variance meeting.
- Preparation and analysis of plant variance and management reports.
- Partner with Plant Leadership Team to determine, analyze and report cost-saving initiatives. Provide a link between operations departments and finance for greater consistency and accuracy of reporting and in-depth business analysis.
- Assist in development of annual budget as related to product costing.
- Assist in year-end audit by working closely with auditors and supplying information as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
The position exists in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. Requires sitting for long periods of time with occasional stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, etc. May require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, of objects up to, but not limited to, 10 lbs. Frequent repetitive motion tasks performed. Travel 10-30% of the time may be required.

- Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Power Apps, Data Analytics App
- JDE and SAP knowledge is important
- Knowledge in Standard Cost, absorption, factory variances, cost roll up, forecast, budget and experience in manufacturing industry required
- Experience in medical device industry preferred
Qualifications/Background Experiences
Requires a four-year college degree in Accounting and a minimum of five years of cost accounting experience. Advanced computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft office. Experience with Crystal Reports and JD Edwards or similar ERP software preferred.
