Surgical Technologist
This full-time, onsite position requires a skilled Surgical Technologist to join a nationally recognized, innovative healthcare team. Offering a $25,000 sign-on bonus and competitive salary dependent on experience (DOE), this opportunity is located at a facility that values diversity and excellence in patient care. Key duties include being part of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting in operations under the direction of more senior staff members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform surgical duties assigned, ensuring a clean and sterile environment.
- Collaborate with surgical staff to provide top-notch patient care during operations.
- Assist in complex surgical operations under the guidance of the Circulating RN and surgeons.
- Maintain effective communication with the surgical team, including communicating any issues that may arise during procedures.
- Take part in ongoing education and training to stay abreast of new techniques and industry standards.
- Apply age-related care in handling patients across varying medical situations.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or Licensed Practical Nursing.
- Minimum one-year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in surgical operations or related field.
- Residency within a manageable distance from the medical facility to ensure availability for on-call duties.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and capability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is highly desirable.
- Advanced certifications related to surgical technology or operating room environments.
