The Integrated Solutions Modeling & Architecture Directorate (ISMA) is chartered to define, architect, analyze and implement complex system-of-system solutions to multi-domain operational challenges, supporting all mission areas at Raytheon.
The Operation and Mission Analysis East, within ISMA supports this mission driving flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas (sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics and operations), developing tools and methods to evaluate system level studies and visualization based on customer requirements.

What You Will Do
- You will provide guidance, direction, mentoring and influencing skills to a team of 10-12 professionals, while fostering teamwork, interdependent execution and managing staffing. (6 hours/week).
- You will ensure each team member has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and career advancement.
- You will participate in talent acquisition, goal setting, performance development, and appraisal for your team.
- You will produce essential materials and advanced tools and methodologies to support, drive and enable key business captures, current programs, special projects and corporation-wide business opportunities.
- You will provide effective air-to-air missile analysis supporting all phases of existing and potential future employment of CONOPS, including IRAD and program work.
- You will analyze concepts of operations and conduct military utility studies.
- You will become the “go-to” source for IRAD activity related to air-to-air weapons concepts and opportunities across all three ISMA departments to help pursue growth from the front-end-of the business.
- You will execute a portfolio of project work, as a Senior Level Operations Research Analyst.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree. Must have a minimum of 10 years of documented professional experience or an advanced degree in STEM and 8 years of Engineering experience.
- Experience participating and supporting analyses and studies of system and/or kill chain performance, Experience applying principles such as CONOPS, system tradeoff, threat definitions, and/or system-of-system assessments.
- Experience evaluating new concepts of operation and developing new technology use cases, Experience in Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design.
- Experience modeling and simulating (for example 5-DOF or 6-DOF), Experience in Software architecture, design, development, integration, and verification. Experience presenting technical and analytical information to customers/clients. Three (3+) years of documented work experience in at least one of the following RMD Mission areas: Naval Power, Air Power, Advanced Technology.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- Experience developing and mentoring new employees, both technically and professionally and communicating with different levels of employees, departments, and/or customers. Experience in team building, performing interviews and hiring new employees, Experience in processing large statistical data sets and high-performance computing.
- Experience with high performance weapon simulation development and/or studies, Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with computer communication through ports, sockets, and UDP/TCP.
- Experience with Python Matplotlib and Seaborn packages, Experience working with SIMDIS visualization creation (user and/or programmer). Experience in Military CONOPs with a focus on air-to-air weapons.
- Possess existing TS/SCI security clearance, or past qualification for this clearance, Experience working as a Control Account Manager and using the Earned Value Management System.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
