Job Summary
Trilogy is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Investments Team. Responsibilities include building and maintaining financial models for current and new investments, supporting capital markets efforts, conducting industry research, and preparing offering materials and presentation decks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial modeling, be resourceful, organized, and able to manage multiple projects. Prior real estate experience is preferred, but candidates with strong financial modeling experience and a demonstrated interest in real estate will also be considered. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure across all aspects of a dynamic real estate investment firm, with significant growth potential. The role reports to the Vice President of Investments and works closely with the Acquisitions, Portfolio Management, and Executive Teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain complex financial models for underwriting new and existing real estate investments and funds including detailed pro forma analyses, IRR calculations, waterfall analyses, and scenario modeling.
- Support the capital markets team in securing financing for acquisitions, developments, and refinancing of existing investments.
- Conduct in-depth industry research and market analysis on economic trends, property fundamentals, and competitive landscapes to support investment strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive databases on relevant market information, asset performance, and capital market activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist with preparing offering materials, investment committee decks, and investor presentations, articulating the investment thesis, financial projections, and risk/return profiles.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and alignment of interests between brokers, lenders, partners, attorneys, and other market participants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or Business.
- 1-4 years of experience working in an analytical capacity. Real estate background is preferred, but candidates with a background in FP&A, Big 4 Accounting, or related fields will be considered.
- A strong interest in real estate investments and capital markets.
- Proficiency with Excel, specifically financial and cash flow modeling.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, maintaining high standards of accuracy and detail.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
