The Relationship Banker II is a frontline financial partner (financial MDs) that is part of a supportive and dynamic member-focused sales team. As a Relationship Banker II, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment processing routine and complex financial transactions for members in-person, over the phone, and by e-mail. You’ll engage in consultative conversations with members to establish a strong rapport and understanding of their financial needs and offer tailored products and services to help them reach their financial dreams.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
Job Duties:
- Quickly process routine and complex financial transactions for members including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier’s checks, while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal procedures.
- Establish and maintain member deposit and loan accounts including businesses, trusts fiduciary, and IRA accounts.
- Provide the highest quality of member service by promptly addressing member concerns and escalate to leadership when appropriate.
- Proactively identify and recommend the best products and services to meet the members’ financial needs and partner with service teams including insurance, investments, Premier, and mortgage.
- Meet quarterly metrics and service objectives (i.e. campaigns, cross-selling, and referrals), alongside sales targets, and incentives to help drive and execute on key business goals and initiatives.
- Complete required compliance training within well-defined timelines and utilize available resources to maintain in-depth current knowledge of all current credit union products and services.
- Perform account maintenance activities including updating member contact and personal information.
- Perform follow-up activities and outbound calls for new and existing members.
- Assist Branch leadership with the onboarding of new Representatives as needed.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum eighteen (18) months in a fast-paced sales or customer service role within the financial services industry preferred.
- Ability to listen to members’ needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically.
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
- Skilled to work in a fast-paced customer service and sales environment without sacrificing accuracy and service.
- Aptitude for learning a variety of computer systems using technology to solve member issues.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Certification/License: Notary preferred.
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Location: Cedar Hills Experience Center - Beaverton, OR 97005
Target Compensation in Portland, OR: $22.60 to $27.40 per hour + quarterly incentive
