Position Overview:
The Business Analyst will work under the guidance of the DevOps Manager within the Office of Operations & Technology Services at Harris County Public Health. The role will involve collaborating with various departments and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and workflows. The Business Analyst will also assist in the design, implementation, and enhancement of technology solutions to support the organization's operational and strategic goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
- Analyzes and evaluates existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement or areas for automation.
- Assists in the design, implementation, and enhancement of technology solutions, including applications, systems, and infrastructure.
- Develops and maintains documentation, including requirements specifications, process diagrams, and user manuals.
- Provides training and support to end-users as needed.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or other related field.
Experience:
- At least two (2) years of experience in business analysis or other similar role.

Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
- This is a Full-Time | Grant-Funded position.
- Monday – Friday | 8 am – 5 pm.
- Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department or task requirements.
- May require periodic overnight travel and long hours/overtime during emergencies/disasters.
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May require travel within Harris County as needed.
Physical Demands:
- This is primarily a sedentary position.

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
