What you’ll be doing…
As a Consultant - EEO/Affirmative Action, you will be responsible for data retrieval, analysis, validation, and preparing reports in connection with Verizon’s Affirmative Action Program (AAP), as well as managing U.S. Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) compliance evaluations. You will also be responsible for city and state affirmative action (AA) and equal employment opportunity (EEO) related certifications, evaluating EEO/AA contract clauses in bids and contracts, and assisting with related matters, as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, assisting, and providing guidance for AAP implementation in accordance with government regulations which includes: drafting/revising plan narratives; extracting and analyzing personnel data from different HR systems; conducting job group, utilization, impact ratio, and other analyses required to determine the action-oriented programs; assisting in coordinating Company action-oriented programs; auditing outreach partnerships evaluations; and conducting internal audits of the company AAPs.
- Managing compliance evaluations conducted by the OFCCP in a timely manner and working with counsel, as needed.
- Responding to ad-hoc requests, such as proposals, state, local, and municipal compliance reports, and EEO/AA contract clause evaluations and submitting documentation required for AA certification with municipal, state, and federal agencies.
- Generating required government reports, including EEO1, Vets 4212, FCC 395, and other required reports.
- Engaging in professional development such as reviewing e-newsletters or participating in webinars, trade group meetings, or opportunities in relation to applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, Title VII, ADA, and EEOC.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- At least four years of job-related work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of affirmative action programs and related requirements, including plan development and analysis.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects at once.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google office products.
- Ability to travel on an as-needed basis (for onsite evaluations, etc).
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience with government EEO reporting (i.e. EEO-1, VETs 4212, FCC-395, etc.).
- Experience presenting to and interacting with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with statistical and data analytics software.
- Familiarity using Workday and Workday reporting.
- Experience working independently.
- Experience processing and analyzing large data sets using advanced skills (i.e. macros, Python script, etc.).
- Experience understanding statistical models.
