DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Work closely with Centralized Transaction Operations (CTO) business leaders to identify analytics opportunities and execute against them. Support day-to-day operational reporting and analytics while identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance the information provided to our business partners to improve efficiencies. Determine data needs/sources, extraction methods, and reporting frameworks across multiple database systems and tools. Build advanced analytical capabilities using a variety of different technologies with a focus on improving business decisions and actions within CTO. Responsible for closure of control gaps, reduction of manual controls, automation of manual processes, reduction of handoffs, and increasing operational efficiency with dashboards. Leverage data mining, data manipulation, and analytics skills to solve business problems, create opportunities, and identify potential analytical strategies. Present recommendations to management and business partners (including business implications) and determine how to best summarize and visualize the results. Provide proactive, real-time analytics to anticipate and enhance the customer’s experience and decision-making capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as an Analytics Solutions, Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Grad Assistant Researcher, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as an Analytics Solutions, Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Grad Assistant Researcher, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: collaborating with business partners to understand the problem statement; identifying opportunities to provide technical solutions; developing scripts, tools, and workflows to automate business processes and reduce manual effort; performing statistical analysis using various techniques including linear and nonlinear regression modeling and forecasting methodologies for purposes of conducting analysis to drive business decisions; writing complex SQL queries to extract required data elements from relational databases; analytical programming languages and data wrangling tools such as Python, R, SAS, or Alteryx to extract, transform and load data to target destinations; designing and developing executive dashboards and delivery of insightful visualizations using Tableau; and traditional database design versus Hadoop data architecture.
