BRG's Global Construction practice offers professional experience and competence in fact finding, data analytics, claims/dispute analysis and management, and litigation support; along with technical expertise in engineering, architecture, construction management, public contracting, specifications and technical document development, schedule development and analysis, cost analysis, negotiations, and expert witness testimony. Our practice is seeking an experienced consultant or manager level that is close to our Dallas/Fort Worth or Houston office. This person will work with project managers and experts performing the detailed analyses required to provide the best solutions for our client. In addition, you will also:
Job Responsibilities
- Support detailed analyses of project schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity, contracts, change orders and other issues related to design and construction.
- Assist with data gathering activities including document review and supervision, and quality control of data entry activities.
- Demonstrate proper creation and documentation of work product.
- Demonstrate creativity and learn to efficiently use relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions.
- Gain experience developing and maintaining electronic databases, spreadsheets and other files as dictated by project needs.
- Perform detailed research and analysis, then put the results into action (e.g., gather, review, and summarize literature and data from the public domain, specialized industry resources, or client, public and commercial databases).
- Audit own work product and work product of others to assure quality.
- Participate in a positive team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- A degree (e.g. BS, BBA, MBA, M.A., M.S., etc.) with a focus in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related subjects;
- Candidate must reside close to our DFW or Houston offices and be available to go in when required;
- Three to eight (3-8) years of experience in Construction advisory service;
- Previous experience in handling Construction Delay Analysis and/or Labor Productivity Analysis and Claims/Change Order Analysis;
- Experience in investigative work focused on contractual claims and disputes;
- Previous field experience on construction projects or working for a large general contractor as a project manager is beneficial;
- Developed, prepared, maintained, updated, reviewed, and analyzed schedules (P6, MSP, and any other scheduling platforms);
- Advanced capabilities with MS Excel for modeling and damages calculations purposes;
- Commitment to producing high quality analysis and attention to details;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
- Desire to work within a team environment.
