Our client is seeking a successful RN Manager of the inpatient float pool to take a great hospital to new heights of patient care.
The Nurse Manager has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for delivery of patient care within the defined patient care areas. The Nurse Manager identifies goals and opportunities for his/her defined areas consistent with organizational goals, strategies and initiatives. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, collaboration with organizational leadership in support of the annual operating plan, hiring and retention of personnel, performance improvement activities, and participation on management team and other committees as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- And must graduate for an accredited Bachelor's of Nursing Degree program within one year of position
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 5 years professional healthcare experience with 2 years in a supervisory position with progressive management responsibilities required
- NYS Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS Certification
- Walking, sitting, lifting no more than 50 pounds
