Our client is seeking a successful RN Manager of Ambulatory Services to take a great unit to new heights of patient care.
The Ambulatory Surgery (ASU), OSS Manager will direct daily operations, and in conjunction with the Medical Director of the OSS ASU, Network Director Perioperative Services and Anesthesia, and the Vice President, Nursing, CNO. Implement programs, enforce compliance standards and develop systems to maximize patient access and provider efficiency in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit. The ASU OSS Manager will be responsible for departmental performance improvement, staff selection and supervision, managing the daily room assignments to include urgent and emergent add on cases to the schedule, staff competency, and skill development activities. The ASU OSS Manager will participate in multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement and facilitate systems and programs in the delivery of patient care across the continuum.
Minimum Requirements:
Education/Qualifications:
- Graduation of Baccalaureate Professional Nursing Program.
Experience:
- 3 years in area of clinical practice required
- 2 years experience in a health management or supervisory role required
- Experience in a leadership role within the OR desired.
- Knowledge of Sterile Processing Standards
Licensure/Certificates:
- Current NYS licensure and registration as Registered Professional Nurse
- Current BLS certification is required, ACLS required or obtained within 12 months of hire
- Current Certification in area of clinical experience or willing to obtain within 12 months of hire (e.g. CNOR, AAACN, CPAN, ASPAN)
Skills:
- Demonstrated experience related to ambulatory surgery and procedure room management of all surgical specialties
- Demonstrated leadership, management and solid interpersonal communication skills are essential.
