CLINICAL COORDINATOR AND NURSE EDUCATOR/NURSE EDUCATOR ASSOCIATE

The position of Clinical Coordinator and Nurse Educator/Nurse Educator Associate is Open Until Filled to create a qualified instructor pool.

As the Full-Time Faculty: Clinical Coordinator and Nurse Educator/Nurse Educator Associate, you will be responsible for the development and/or implementation of the nursing programs including curriculum, policies, student advising, student evaluation, mentoring, and collaborating with other nurse educators, nurse educator associates, and Administration. This position involves clinical coordination and clinical instruction at various clinical sites in Oregon and at the Umpqua Community College campus in Roseburg, Oregon. Essential duties and qualifications in accordance with the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), Division 21. The Nursing Program prepares compassionate, competent nurses who are ready to meet our community’s health care needs. Promotes respect and compliance with the mission, vision, and goals of Umpqua Community College.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
- Hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Have the equivalent of a minimum of two years of full-time patient care experience at the registered nurse level.
- Document competency in teaching through experience, educational preparation, or continuing education.
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice for the registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, and nursing assistant.
- Be academically and experientially qualified for the level of appointment.
- Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
- Successful completion of a healthcare drug screening.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS card by start date.
- Immunizations as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.
- Proficiency with instructional and industry technology within 6 months (i.e., word processing, e-mail, learning management system, digital and social media, zoom and other online meeting platforms).
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
- Hold at least a master's degree in nursing or a baccalaureate degree in nursing and master's or doctoral degree in a related field with relevant teaching and nursing experience related to the teaching assignment.
- Have the equivalent of a minimum of three years of full-time patient care experience at the registered nurse level.
