Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and ARDMS-certified Ultrasound Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will use state-of-the-art equipment to capture accurate images, provide exceptional patient care, and work closely with radiologists and physicians to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic imaging.
Shift: Tuesday-Friday, 7:30 am-5:00pm with Saturday rotation
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound imaging procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and small parts studies, as per physician orders.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the body's internal structures for accurate diagnosis.
- Evaluate images for quality, anatomy, and accurate representation of findings; adjust techniques as necessary to obtain the best diagnostic results.
- Ensure compliance with protocols for infection control and safety during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort and maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Maintain accurate patient records, document imaging procedures, and provide preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to discuss case findings, assist with procedures, and deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
- Follow safety protocols, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards to minimize radiation exposure.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities related to imaging equipment and procedures.
- Stay current with new developments in ultrasound technology and maintain ARDMS certification through continuing education.
Salary: $30 - $50 an hour
