Summary:
Using discretion and independent judgment, the nurse liaison serves as a primary liaison to designated health care facilities, maintaining communication and performing on-site pre-admission screenings. The nurse liaison is involved in marketing by one-to-one contacts and professional education. This position does require interaction with adult and geriatric populations. Age-specific experience and/or special training and/or expertise is required to serve this population. The nurse liaison meets criteria as outlined in the departmental competency checklist. Involves provision of patient care/service to older adolescent, young adult, adult and geriatric populations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of recent clinical experience as an RN. Negotiating skills which support the ability to interact with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients/families, case managers, and social workers.
- Current Louisiana RN license.
- Current BLS.
- CCRN certification preferred (obtained within 3 years of working on the Rehab unit).
Work Schedule:
5 Days-8 Hours.
