The Coca-Cola Freestyle Innovation Center’s Engineering team is growing and is looking for a Principal Engineer to continue our success! The Principal Engineer will join the Fluidic Sub-Systems Team and be responsible for the design and development of fluid handling systems that pour quality Coca-Cola brands on our Freestyle dispensers. Our ideal candidate will seek to understand customer needs, design and improve unique products, and put them into production through our internal process.
What You’ll Do For Us
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and commercialize new Freestyle dispensers and technologies.
- Design systems and components that manage fluid flow, including pumping technologies, nozzles, and flow through tubes and valves throughout the engineering lifecycle.
- Apply principles of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electromechanical and control systems to create the best fountain dispensers on the planet.
- Troubleshoot issues and push the boundaries of performance in a hands-on lab environment where collaboration is key to success. Design, Build, Test, Repeat.
- Document designs, review drawings, and improve our products using a formal change management process.
- Apply problem solving tools (e.g. FMEA, A3, Fishbone, etc.) to effectively manage risk and communications with key stakeholders.
- Translate high level stakeholder needs into technical requirements and cascade across engineering functions. Negotiate requirements with stakeholders to best balance project constraints from a customer centric point of view.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree from ABET-accredited program; BSME, BSAE, BS-ChemE, Biomed Eng.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or fluidics product development
- Experience in fluid mechanics and heat transfer, does not need to be direct consumer goods experience and can be in other industries
- Hands-on experience with electronically controlled mechanical systems
- Proven track record of delivering quality products and a wide variety of contributions
- Analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of A3, 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar tools
