We are seeking a full-time Physician Associate to join our Plastic Surgery clinic in SW Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.
The chosen candidate will work alongside our board-certified plastic surgeons, our MA’s, and our front office team. Duties include, but are not limited to, patient consultation/education, light call coverage, skin lesion excision, microneedling, other treatments, surgical first-assisting, and postoperative follow-up.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Individual must be self-motivated and be able to work independently with a team attitude. Prior experience in dermatology/plastic surgery/aesthetics, experience with skin lesion excision, microneedling, OR experience (excellent suturing skills) would be a plus. Skills can be taught, of course, so it is most important that we find a person with the right personality, motivation, and drive to join our team.
Most patient encounters within the Providence St Vincent campus, with occasional travel to other parts of Portland. Sufficient advance notice provided for all travel and surgeries.
Workweek will be 4.5 days/week, some weekends for light (non-ER) call coverage. Starting pay range, based on license and experience: $116,000 - $174,000/annually.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Associate program and current Oregon PA license
- Prior experience working with Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred, specifically EPIC
- 2 years of formal PA experience preferred.
- Plastic Surgery or Surgical experience highly preferred.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and office staff, patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
