About the clinician's workday
The credentialing timeframe for this position requires a physical examination, which can be conducted onsite if needed, along with three reference letters, taking approximately 2 to 3 weeks. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from either 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM, totaling 40 hours per week; however, an unpaid one-hour lunch reduces this to 35 working hours. While the facility prefers full-time coverage, they are open to candidates who can commit to three days a week. The call schedule involves minimal responsibility, with one other pediatrician and two physician assistants rotating every other month for 24-hour coverage. Required certifications include a New York license, DEA, BLS, and board certification or eligibility, along with an infectious control certification.
