Job Summary and Qualifications
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a PRN basis who will perform procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.
As an MRI Technologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI (and associated) equipment.
- Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation.
- Facilitate the procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients.
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty and safety.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields accurately and on time.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues.
- Monitor the operation of the equipment and maintain cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.
- Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical school.
- Current ARRT registry.
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- 1-3 years of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relation, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, and clerical skills are necessary.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions as well as follow verbal instructions.
