Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU – A5 South Neuro Trauma Surg 48’s
Shift: Days / 7a-7:30p, 12×4, 48 hrs per week, will consider 36’s
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- IN/Compact license
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Telemetry, Proficient Neuro Experience, and Management of Drips
- BLS
- ACLS
- Conscious Sedation and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- Staffing Ratios: 1:3-4 (Will Rarely See 5 During Emergencies)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
Teaching facilities require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.
Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS
Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Year Required, Telemetry, Proficient Neuro Experience, and Management of Drips
Skillset Preferences: Conscious Sedation and Level 1 Trauma Experience
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed.
Unit Information: CVAs, Hydrocephalus, brain tumors and resections, seizures, and TBIs; shooting, stabbings, MVCs, people falling over rugs etc. GI surgeries and large wound cleaning and closures.
